Frequently Asked Questions

What does data roaming mean?

When you travel to a country outside of your home network’s coverage area, you may let your mobile device “roam”, or connect to, the local carrier’s network. This usage can often lead to higher charges, as the data you are using must go through a provider you are not a customer of. So, without sometimes realizing it, you might incur substantial fees for data usage while roaming, which shows up on your next, surprisingly high, bill.

EsimExe offers three types of plans:

  • Country Plans

Ideal for those travelling to a specific destination. These plans cover individual countries.

  • Regional Plans

For those who plan to travel between several countries in a specific region. This plan will cover the included countries.

  • Lifetime Plans

If you travel for long periods of time or very often, this is a plan without time restrictions, offering extended connectivity.

Each plan offers different data packages based on your travel needs.

Our eSIMs work with all devices that have eSIM functionality, including smartphones, tablets, and hotspots. Supported brands include latest models from Apple (iPhone, iPad), Samsung, Google, and many others.

Important: Make sure to check your device’s compatibility before purchasing an eSIM.

How do I activate my eSIM?

Simply scan the QR code sent via email or follow the instructions in your eSIM plan. The instructions can be found in the “my eSIMs” secition of your dashboard.

Once the QR code has been verified, your device will prompt you to complete the setup. Just follow the on-screen steps.

This error may occur when the verification of the code is interrupted or incomplete, often due to a poor Wi-Fi connection or an active VPN. Please switch off your VPN and try scanning again. If that does not work, try finding a stronger Wi-Fi signal to connect to.

To verify eSIM installation:

  • On Android: Go to Settings > System > About phone > SIM status, and check the ICCID.
  • On iPhone: Navigate to Settings > General > About to locate the ICCID.

If the eSIM is successfully installed, the new ICCID should be visible.

Important: The eSIM QR code is unique to each eSIM and can only be installed once. If you continue to encounter an error message when scanning the QR code, please contact our support team at info@esimexe.com for assistance.

No, eSIMs work exactly the same as physical SIMs, but you do not need to insert any cards into your device. You use the eSIM as you would a physical SIM, or if your device allows it, alongside a second physical SIM. For instance, you can use your physical SIM for calls and the eSIM for data, or you can switch entirely to eSIM if you prefer.

Make sure your device’s software is up to date. If you still encounter the issue, try restarting your device, or re-starting eSIM activation. You can also reach out to our customer support team at info@esimexe.com for further assistance.
